Q-box offers significant savings over traditional trays by reducing product damage and eliminating the handling and disposal costs associated with cardboard boxes. Its innovative design enables it to be assembled in a variety of configurations allowing changes to the internal volume of the container. Once delivered to the retail store, the products can be quickly unpacked and the Q-box can then be simply collapsed into a smaller unit and returned for re-use to Logtek. In keeping with this high tech approach to packaging, the Q-box is now embedded with an Intellident RFID tag for use in Multiscanning operations at the distribution depot. This enables the Q-boxes which are stacked on wheeled dollies to be simultaneously scanned as they move through the MultiScanner portal onto the delivery vehicles thereby significantly increasing the speed of operation - previously carried out on an individual tray basis by hand-held or fixed position scanners. This ensures the Q-box is delivered to the stores in the quickest possible time – vitally important in the delivery of fresh produce and cut flowers. END
