AIM's Internet of Things Committee Publishes
Healthcare and Department of Defense Documents Available
Cranberry Township, PA – January 8, 2013 – AIM, the industry association representing
the bar code, RFID, RTLS and mobile computing industry, has announced the
availability of two white papers, created by its Internet of
Things (IoT) committee to educate stakeholders about the
significance of IoT to worldwide markets.
Published white papers include: Healthcare and the Impact
of the Internet of Things and DOD and the Impact of the
Internet of Things.
Internet of Things (IoT) committee, formed in 2011, provides a forum for
members to understand and help shape the rapidly changing landscape of the
interconnected world of products, services, and information. The committee is
comprised of AIM member companies with an interest in influencing the direction
and definition of the Internet of Things, especially as it relates to bar code,
RFID and mobile computing solutions.
"AIM continues to seek
innovative ways to educate target audiences about emerging technology areas,
and the Internet of Things is one such area," said Steve Halliday, 2012 IOT
chair. "By providing education and quality information, the committee increases
the level of understanding about complex issues associated with the IoT."
The white papers are available for free
