DG Corporation Joins AIM
International Manufacturer of Part Marking, Digital
Printing, Engraving & Milling Equipment
Township, PA – June 19, 2013 – AIM, the industry
association and worldwide authority on barcode, RFID, RTLS and mobile
computing, celebrating its 40th anniversary year, welcomes its
newest member Roland DG Corporation.
Headquartered in Japan, Roland DG
has a significant presence on almost every continent as well as an established
history of manufacturing innovation in a variety of areas, from engraving and 3D
modeling to dental milling, unique device identification (UDI) and advanced
digital printing equipment and technologies.
As a member of AIM, Roland DG will
join other leading global organizations that are committed to the growth of
automatic identification and mobility solutions through advocacy, industry
standards development and the support of a global channel network.
DGA Corporation, based in Irvine, California, represents
the company’s US interests. One of the
latest technologies Roland has introduced is the MPX-90M direct part making
device, which provides marking of 2D UDI barcodes that allow medical device
manufacturers to quickly imprint large amounts of data in a compact barcode
format – as small as one square millimeter.
The MPX-90M prints directly on materials ranging from surgical steel,
titanium, and aluminum to matte plastics and acrylic, and is ideal for a
multitude of medical and surgical devices and components.
"AIM is excited to have Roland DG as a member,” said
AIM COO Mary Lou Bosco. "The
international influence and innovation offered by the company’s many affiliates
will undoubtedly add to AIM’s strengths around the globe and help us to further
champion advocacy and standards in the automatic identification and data
capture (AIDC) industry.”
For 40 years, AIM has served as the association and
worldwide authority on automatic identification, data collection and networking
in a mobile environment. AIM members are manufacturers, distributors, resellers
and end-users of bar code, RFID, RTLS and mobile computing solutions. AIM is
