AIM North America Delegation Visits Capitol Hill
UID Suppliers Alliance Meets with Key U.S. Leaders

Cranberry Township, PA
- July 9, 2013- A delegation of industry leaders representing the AIM North America UID Suppliers Alliance (USA) spent June 27th meeting with key members of both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on Capitol Hill. The delegation was made up of senior executives who advocate the improved adoption of Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) and Item Unique Identification (IUID) technologies.

"Both the UID Suppliers Alliance and AIM North America have had a significant impact with government agencies through the years", according to Tom Dills, Chairperson- USA and Principal- Elder-Mountain Associates of Georgia. "Working together, we have been instrumental in the development and standardization of technologies used today as well as helping the military and others learn about both IUID and AIT innovations that benefit the government and taxpayers, alike."

Visits planned by the delegation to congressional leaders from five states and stretching coast to coast, included Senators Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), Bob Casey (D-PA), Pat Toomey (R-PA), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Rob Portman (R-OH), Tom Coburn (R-OK), James Inhofe (R-OK), Patty Murray (D-WA) and Maria Cantwell (D-WA), along with Representatives Rick Larsen (D) and Derek Kilmer (D) of Washington, Mike Kelly (R) of Pennsylvania, Brad Wenstrup (R), Mike Turner (R), David Joyce (R), Martha Fudge (D), Tim Ryan (D), and Marcy Kaptur (D) of Ohio, and Austin Scott (R) of Georgia, as well as House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).

"The passion shown by the UID Suppliers Alliance and AIM North America to champion efforts which increase government efficiency, save millions of dollars and ultimately benefit the taxpayers, is amazing," said Stanley M.
