AIM North America Honors AIDC Industry Leaders
Industry Award Winners Recognized at AIM Summit 2015
Cranberry Township, PA – April 14, 2015 – AIM North America (AIM NA), the industry association
and authority on barcode, RFID, RTLS, NFC and mobile computing, announced the
recipients of the 2015 AIM North America
Awards during a special ceremony at AIM Summit 2015 in San
Diego, California, earlier today. Each
year, the AIM North America Awards honor individuals as well as organizations
that not only promote the industry, but demonstrate significant contributions
to enhanced and new technologies.
Ardi
Batmanghelidj,
President & CEO of Innovatum,
Inc.,
headquartered in Sugar Hill, Georgia was
selected as AIM North America Professional of the Year. Mr. Batmanghelidj has been a significant
contributor to AIM’s work in healthcare and regulatory compliance, most
recently serving as Chairman of the AIM NA Healthcare Committee. He is a published
author and renowned industry speaker, providing expert guidance to the FDA and
manufacturers in the area of master data management, labeling and
barcoding. As one of the authors of the
AIM white paper on UDI, he has been immersed in gauging the impact of
serialization and UDI and has been assisting the industry toward compliance.
Established in 2007, the AIM North
America Professional of the Year is presented annually to an individual
in recognition of innovative and exceptional contributions to the development
of the Automatic Identification and Mobility industry through their work as a
contributor, collaborator, or mentor.
Seagull
Scientific, Inc.
was honored as the AIM North America
Business of the Year. This award
is presented annually to an organization in recognition of outstanding
contributions and service that have furthered the growth of the AIDC industry. As
a respected and responsible leader, this company’s achievements certainly
deserve special recognition.
Seagull Scientific, established in 1985, produces
the award-winning BarTender® software for labels, barcodes, RFID and card printing, and is the world’s
largest developer of Windows printer drivers for special application printers.
With corporate headquarters and software development in Bellevue, Washington,

Harold Boe, President of Seagull Scientific, along with Steve Wilcox, Vice
President of Marketing and Gary Hagood, Regional Sales Manager, were on hand to
accept the award at today’s event.
