AIM Standards - The First Step

As the industry association for AIDC, AIM has been creating and maintaining standards for over 25 years. Starting with the barcode standards, AIM’s Technical Symbology Committee created the standards that were submitted to ISO as the basis for the ISO standards we use today.  Since then, AIM’s committees have created and submitted many standards to the ISO world.

AIM standards are the byproducts of significant work by one or more of AIM's technical committees.  The final product from the committee can take the form of:

  • Technical Report
  • Technical Specification
  • Implementation Guide

In many cases, the AIM standard is then routed through ANSI for consideration and recommendation to become an ISO standard.

AIM standards are available for purchase through the AIM Store.
