Evanhoe & Kimball Receive Industry Leadership Appointments

INCITS and SC31 Tap Industry Expertise of AIM Members

Cranberry Township, PA – October 22, 2013 – AIM, the industry association and worldwide authority on barcode, RFID, RTLS and mobile computing, congratulates long term members Chuck Evanhoe, of Evanhoe & Associates, as well as Dan Kimball, Principal of SRA International, for their appointments to leadership positions with the international standards committees INCITS and SC31, respectively.

Chuck Evanhoe has been selected as the Chair for INCITS SG on IoT (Internet of Things). This new group will support INCITS (InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards) efforts to create technology standards for the next generation of innovation in the AIDC industry, with a focus on the growth of IoT worldwide. Mr. Evanhoe, President of Evanhoe & Associates, an AIDC IT solutions firm located in Dayton, Ohio, has been recognized for his entrepreneurial efforts and expertise in DoD, RFID and UID applications. Currently, he serves as the Board Chairman of AIM, Inc.

Dan Kimball will assume the role of Chair for JTC 1/SC 31, a leading technical committee of ISO (International Organization for Standardization), the world’s largest developer of International Standards. SC 31’s area of work is Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC). Mr. Kimball has extensive experience in barcode and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) standards and was recently selected AIM North America Professional of the Year. He serves as the Lead Technical Advisor, DoD Logistics Automatic Identification Technology Office, U.S. Transportation Command.
