AIM North America Elects New Committee Leadership
Innovatum’s Batmanghelidj & Evanhoe’s Fudge Tapped for Roles

Cranberry Township, PA – February 4, 2014 -- AIM North America (AIM NA), the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility in North America has announced new chairs for key committees in 2014.

Ardi Batmanghelidj, President, Innovatum of Sugar Hill, GA will lead the Healthcare Committee (formerly UDI Committee) and Bob Fudge, Vice President for Federal Programs at Evanhoe & Associates of Dayton, OH will lead the UID Suppliers Alliance. These industry experts have been elected chair of their respective committees for one year.

"As vice chairs over the past year, Bob and Ardi have demonstrated tremendous leadership within the UID and healthcare communities and are well suited to lead these important committees” said AIM North America COO, Mary Lou Bosco. "I am confident in their ability to keep the momentum moving forward and building on past success as they guide these committees to achieve our goals.”

AIM North America also thanks outgoing chairs Tom Dills, Elder Mountain and George Wright, IV, Product Identification & Processing Systems for their contributions.

About the Healthcare Committee
The Healthcare Committee (formerly UDI Committee) is the committee within AIM North America that provides guidance and best practices on the use of AIDC (automatic identification and data capture) technologies in the implementation of the FDA UDI and SNI initiatives. Developing and promoting technologically and economically sensible implementation models, the committee will address the need for interoperability with national and international unique device identification and unique Pharma serial number requirements, emphasizing both compatibility and affordability.

The UID Supplier Alliance (USA) is the committee within AIM North America dedicated to raising the awareness and adoption of the UID Policy within the DoD agencies and DoD contractors, and includes leading providers of UID and other automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) solutions. Collectively these organizations have implemented hundreds of successful UID marking and data management systems, and have demonstrated how the systems benefit maintenance, inventory, production and traceability operations for the military and contractors alike.
