AIM Presents Han Xin Code for Public Review
Symbology Standards Document Available for Download & Comment

Cranberry Township, PA – May 29, 2014 – AIM, the leading industry association and worldwide authority on barcode, RFID, RTLS and mobile computing, has announced that the Public Review Draft of the International Symbology Specification (ISS) – Han Xin Code, developed by AIM’s Technical Symbology Committee (TSC), in collaboration with AIM China, is now available for a 30-day public review.

Han Xin Code is a unique, variable size, matrix Symbology specifically optimized for two and four byte alphabets (such as Chinese), as well as other ideographic and pictographic alphabets. It is equally suitable for single byte ISO Code Pages such as English. Han Xin Code also includes an option for octet byte encoding for applications such as graphics and audio in addition to Extended Channel Interpretation (ECI) support. It incorporates strong Reed-Solomon error correction to enable four levels of error correction abilities to recover information from damaged symbols.

Interested reviewers can download the document at
Han Xin Code Public Review, or by visiting the AIM Online Store, located on the Association’s website, for a nominal fee.

The Public Review process officially ends on June 30, 2014.
