Pittsburgh, PA, February 27, 2025 – AIM, the leading industry association for the advancement of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technologies, is pleased to announce the appointment of new chairs for two of its prominent industry groups: Jerry Peyton as Chair of the RFID Experts Group (REG) and Chris Cassidy as Chair of the Visibility Technologies Industry Group (VTIG).
Jerry Peyton brings over 45 years of experience in the AIDC industry with a deep focus on RFID solutions. As President of Vista IT Systems since 1994, he has successfully implemented RFID solutions across diverse industries, including warehouse management, manufacturing, retail, government, and horticulture. His extensive expertise in project management, on-time delivery, and budget efficiency makes him an asset to the AIM community. Under his leadership, the REG aims to expand industry engagement, drive new projects, and showcase to the AIDC community the importance of this work group that has been active for over 20 years. Peyton added, “I feel AIM is a valuable source for organizations looking to implement RFID, and technology partners looking for guidance on new products and enhancements for current offerings.“
Chris Cassidy, Chief Revenue Officer at Seagull Software, brings more than 25 years of executive leadership in supply chain management to the Visibility Technologies Industry Group. He has a proven track record in digital transformation, logistics, and enterprise supply chain SaaS solutions. Prior to the merger of Mojix and Seagull Scientific in October 2024, Cassidy served as President and CEO of Mojix. His previous leadership roles at Trax Technologies, Gartner, UPS, and GSK have provided him with a strong foundation in supply chain strategy, operations, and technology. Chris was also a GS1 EPCIS RFID co-chair in 2009 for Pharma Track and Trace of the FDA regulation for deploying RFID solutions at GSK. As Chair of the VTIG, Cassidy aims to further industry collaboration and drive advancements in visibility and traceability solutions.
