AIM Announces 2025 Case Study Competition Winners

AIM Announces 2025 Case Study Competition Winners

Pittsburgh, PA, June 19, 2025 – AIM, the trusted global authority in barcode, biometrics, IoT, NFC, RFID, RTLS, and RAIN technologies for over 50 years, announces the winners of the Industry Case Study Competition. The Competition was created to spotlight the next generation of innovators, rethinking the challenges supply chains face.

The winners, chosen from a pool of exceptional submissions, represent the pinnacle of innovation and excellence in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Internet of Things (IoT), and Automatic Identification & Data Capture (AIDC). This year’s winners are ASYGN/Radio6ense, TEKLYNX and HID.

The IoT category saw a new addition with ASYGN and Radio6ense who addressed Pfizer’s long-standing challenge in their pharmaceutical stability studies, where traditional methods relied on bulky, post-analysis loggers and model-based humidity estimates. ASYGN’s AS3213RH chip powered a miniaturized, battery-free RFID probe, engineered by Radio6ense, capable of real-time temperature and humidity measurement directly inside drug packaging. By enabling continuous, wireless, and non-invasive monitoring without compromising packaging integrity, the chip enabled a cost-effective and regulatory-compliant tool that enhances drug safety and efficacy assurance throughout development and production.

Leading the way in the AIDC category, TEKLYNX modernized and automated TaylorMade Golf’s global labeling operations. Faced with high label waste, manual inefficiencies, and rising costs, TaylorMade partnered with TEKLYNX to implement SENTINEL print automation software and CODESOFT label design software. This powerful combination eliminated manual label generation, improved printing accuracy, and enabled enterprise-wide scalability. Key results of the implementation include labeling accuracy increasing from 85% to 99%, lowering total equipment costs by 50% and increasing customer satisfaction and service levels by 50%.

Five-time case study winner, HID takes the win in the RFID category. Partnering with Earth Sciences Foundation, they transformed the way paleontological specimens are tracked from excavation to museum display. Traditionally, fossil documentation relied on paper records and manual processes, leading to misplaced specimens, lost data, and workflow inefficiencies. By leveraging RFID tags, TSL readers, and a seamless integration with ArcGIS Survey123, HID and InfraMarker enabled fully digital, real-time fossil tracking—even in remote environments. Key results of the implementation include 99% tracking accuracy, eliminating specimen misplacement and manual errors, 347 fossils recorded in just five days, accelerating cataloging 80% improvement in workflow efficiency through automation and real-time remote access, enhancing transparency and collaboration.

Winners will be honored at industry events and will have the opportunity to present their winning case studies to industry peers. To learn more about the winning case studies visit AIM’s Resource Center.
