Metalcraft was able to update QR code metal tags to NFC tags for Derksen Portable Building to better ensure accuracy and improved inventory tracking by allowing the delivery driver to scan the tag upon delivering ensuring that the building is getting delivered to the correct location. This custom constructed NFC tag was created to work both on metal and wood, contains an RFID tag that withstands inclement weather and features the company’s logo. Derksen plans on developing the solution to allow the customer to read the NFC tags through their own mobile devices.
